shop compressor

We are using air tanks on our robot to store air for the match then we are going to charge the system to the regulated air pressures in-between games. At our work station we are going to have a small shop compressor to charge up our system. I just want to make sure it O.K. to use our own compressor.

It isn’t. <R69> states “Compressed air for the pneumatic system on the ROBOT must be provided by one and only one compressor. This compressor may be either the compressor from the KOP, or an equivalent compressor that does not exceed any of the KOP compressor performance specifications (specifically: nominal 12v, 1.03 cfm flow rate, 120psi maximum working pressure). Compressed air shall not come from any other source. Off-board compressors must be controlled and powered by the ROBOT.”

You can, however, have an off-board compressor. Note the blue box in <R69>, and set up accordingly.

The short answer is no. See <R69>. You must be using a compressor with equivalent or lesser specs to those listed and it must be controlled by the robot.
