If the question is “should we loctite a bolt”, the counter question set is:

1. Do you want the bolt to move without you moving it?
2. Do you have alternative locking hardware for it (and if you say a split washer, you do NOT have alternative locking hardware)?

If the answer to both is “no”, then the question you should actually be asking is “what grade of loctite should we use?”

Not quite.

The encoder screws are self threading into plastic, at best thread locker here is unnecessary, at worst it could break down the plastic.
