So recently our team got a water jet sponsor and I’m looking to try and manufacture bearing blocks that uses mainly a water jet. We can tap holes by hand so that’s not an issue. I want a sliding type bearing block to adjust tension. There’s nothing wrong with the wcp bearing blocks or the versablocks I’m just trying to save money and learn something in the process.
You can make a versablock, but make the screws tangent to the tube on the top and bottom, eliminating 2.5D/3D operations. Making the two sides line up perfectly might be more difficult if you think it will be a problem, but something with a tube reamed to 1.125" (or a versaroller) going through could work well.
