Smartdashboard Unsatisfied link error

Hi everyone!
for the last week and a half we’ve been trying to get SmartDashboard, and ShuffleBoard working.
Our Outline Viewer, Path Weaver, and Robot Builder are working.

We Installed tools from VSC GradleRIO.

We’ve tried Reinstalling game tools, tried installing JRE (with no luck), and searched around with no luck on finding a solution. We keep getting an “Unsatisfied Link Error” on launch with SmartDashboard and on shuffleboard. (Shuffleboard opens for a second and then closes before displaying the error.)

Our second laptop does that as well and we haven’t tried installing the JRE on that (It does have the JDK), just going off the assumption that it’ll still do the same.

CMD

Has this ever worked for you?

How did you install wpilib/vscode?

In the past both these tools have worked for us, we got two new laptops this year that we are currently using. Last year’s laptop still works, but it’s tools have not been updated for the 2020 season.

(Last year’s laptop also has VSC, However I don’t recall having to install the dashboard tools from VSC.)

This can occasionally happen when the FRC JDK doesn’t get used for some reason. Try installing the latest C++ redistributes and seeing if that fixes it.

Trying that now.

That was the issue, everything seems to be working now.

Thank You!
