When setting up the sparkMax pid loop, what’s the use of the smartMotionSlot number? Do you need set it to the controller id’s?
It’s so that you can store different sets of trapezoidal profile constraints on your motor controller.

Are the slot numbers distinct for each motor controller, i.e., slot 0 on controller 1 is separate from slot 0 on controller 2? Or are they shared through the CAN bus or somewhere else?
They are separate for each controller
