We have a snow day across oklahoma, more like an ice day here…who all got hit by that storm?
It’s coming this way tomorrow with heavy rains and winds and a 30 degree temperature drop. Stay safe.
Can’t it come this way? We’ll take anything that sticks!
(Note that in South Carolina, the entire state shuts down the moment any snow or ice sticks to the ground. No school, no state government, no churches, no businesses, nothing. And yet people still manage to get out, drive, and wind up skidding into a ditch.)
Looks outside
Nope, no snow. It’s 65F here.

It’s rainy here right now but I heard a storm is headed our way. hopes for a snow day tomorrow
Snow days only count during the six weeks
rain here, its suppose to snow tomorrow but I don’t expect anything to stick to the ground. How big is this storm system?
I doubt it’ll hit NJ. I wish it would though (not that it’d do anything… supposed to have record highs today…grrr…)
Our local ten day forcast is calling for snow showers here on December 8th but I’m not getting excited about it because that forcast changes every hour!

it hasnt even really snowed here yet, its just sleet covering everything…its started raining early yesterday about 10:00 am and it turned into sleet last night and is still going…the snow is supposedly getting closer
Show Low and Prescott got 1/2 foot of snow yesterday. The temperature actually dropped to 34 here in Phoenix. That’s ridiculous for us.
I want a snow day here
65 today and expected to be in the 30s tomorrow. Snow should be here sometime this weekend, but I hope not enough to close things because FFL this weekend.
We’ve gotten about 4" in the last 12 hours. No biggie.
4 down, 286 to go …
It is a typical sunny day. Atmospheric opacity is a low 0.2 tau, so things are bright and clear. Current daytime temperature is around 39.4 degree below zero, Fahrenheit. Winds are moderate (40-60mph), with occasional dust devils observed in the vicinity. Current relative humidity remains extremely low, with no appreciable precipitation forecast for at least the next 100,000 years.
Ooops. Sorry. Wrong planet.

Some time last week it was actually sort of cold in Florida.
About 28ºF with wind chill. One of the counties near me actually had snow flurries.
So yes, it does snow in Florida.
No, we don’t get snow days …we get hurricane days.
Yeah, the recent cold snap in Florida was particularly amusing for me, a New England native.
I live further south in Florida than Michelle does, so the coldest it got was in the lower 60’s as a daytime high (lows were in the upper 40’s). I thought it was pretty funny to see people bundling up in coats, sweaters, hats, and scarves when the temperature outside was a comfortable 60!
I admit, it wasn’t tank top weather, and my blood is starting to thin from being in the warmth for so long… but still, I was able to be comfortable in a long sleeved shirt. And I also find that I am still able to get into relatively cool water without much of a problem (haha Tytus)… many Floridians think that it’s too cold to go swimming when the water temperature is below 80 degrees!
It’s too bad we didn’t get more hurricane days this year (there is no hope for snow in Miami). All I got was two days of cancelled classes for Ernesto (which wasn’t bad at all… we get way worse severe thunderstorms in Connecticut).
We had about the same high/low. I think we just get a lot of wind chill here, even though I’m in the middle of the state.
We had one day, which we were so posted to make up last Wednesday, which I didn’t think was fair because it literally did not rain at all for that hurricane in my county (Osceola).
I lived in New York for seven years, and I was there for one of the big blizzards in the mid 90’s. I loved it. I guess I’m a snow person. I traveled to Washington DC in January of my 8th grade year, everyone was in coats and shivering, it was about 9ºF and I was walking around in a sweater.
I wish it would snow here. You northerners should send us southerners some snow.
I really wish we’d get some snow this year. Last year mother nature seemed to just love teasing us, snow kept getting forecasted, and on a number of occasions it did snow, but it never stuck! Maybe this year. Regardless I’ll be wearing shorts and a t-shirt all year. (I’m not joking, the number of people in this country that aren’t in my immediate family and have seen me wear pants more than three times can be counted on one hand, not including formal occasions.)
1" maybe… meh.
and well, like it mattered anyway. everyone at my school/team knows:
-Indiana has relatively mild weather
-further more, the city of Carmel has invested in a protective bubble, keeping snow, and “bad” weather out… and its very rare for it to break
-even when theres snow, we still don’t get snow days because:
±Our superintendent is Alaskan
±She also drives a Hummer
±When she was in charge of snow day decisions, it didn’t matter how much
snow, or how fast it came, there were no snow days
Last year, several of our school buses had accidents… and since they blamed the superintendent, she gave the rights of snow days (rightfully) to the transportation department
there are 10ft drifts of snow in some areas
