Their have been rivers at UTC in the past. Well I hope that there wont be any teams outside this year. That is because it is supposed to be nice and above freezing friday and saturday and, well, lets face it there has got to still be snow mounds at the Meadows Music Theatre. I am beginning to think that UTC should rename the event a river runs through it. :yikes:
Rivers? Not that I know of. Maybe in 2001 when they had the pits out side, but other than that nope.
Yeah that was the one I was talking about. So lets hope they won’t have pits outside again this year.
it was less of a river and more of a huge puddle. If memory serves me it was all high number teams (above 400, that was high then)
I forget how many team were down there that year, but there are only 38 this year. So maybe everyone will be inside.

If we are not all inside, then something is wrong. During the 2001 competition teams were stationed outside; however, there were 51 teams then as opposed to 38 this year…
but hell they werent at the medow music theatrer then, its been at the new haven collaseum (speel check) for the past few years…
and from what i ahve heard, pits are inside.

Actually…no It was the first year at New Haven last year, in years past it has been at The Meadows Music Theater.
But since the New Haven Coliseum went out of business due to financial backing issues we be goin’ back to the meadows.
Oh and yeah, “more like huge puddle” is an understatement!!! River is more like it, or lake since the water never moved except to rise up higher. That sucked!!! 2001 was fun though none-the-less.
It seems like melting snow won’t be the only cause for rivers, courtesy of Weather.com
