So I installed everything from the new LabView...

But I ran into a problem. I went through all the installations and the updates, but the 2014 LabVIEW is still unregistered for some reason. Did I miss something?

What does it do when you launch LV? Or what does the NI License manager say about the installation. It should work in evaluation mode regardless, and I think technically it doesn’t need to be registered, but does need to be activated with the S14X… number that was on the package.

I’ve punched in all the installation codes at least twice, got a bunch of activation e-mails, downloaded all the 2015 updates, but when I open LabVIEW 2014 it says that it’s unregistered. When I get to the Create/Open Existing Project screen (or I guess the home screen), its layout is very different from the LabVIEW 2013 starting screen. There’s also no mention of FRC or FIRST on 2014’s starting screen.

I’m not sure if it’s just a cosmetic change or if the software is missing out on key features that LabVIEW software registered with FRC might have.

It sounds like you need the 2015 Update Suite that adds all the FIRST-type stuff. Link

Yup. Did that and now everything’s all sorted. Thanks!
