So...What Album Did You Just Listen To?

Along the drive to and from TNT:

Everything You Want by Vertical Horizon (why did I like this ten years ago?)
*Ego Trippin’ *by Snoop Dogg (not his best, I think)
*American Gangster *by Jay-Z (epic)
Gnarls Biggie by Sound Advice (good stuff)
MTV Unplugged No. 2.0 by Lauryn Hill (highly underrated)
*St. Elsewhere *by Gnarls Barkley (still good, even if you’re tired of “Crazy”)
The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill by Lauryn Hill (also great stuff)

There were more, but I don’t remember all of them.

really late… but i totally agree

also

AC/DC- black ice
Metallica- Death Magnetic
T.I- Paper Trail
Kanye West- Graduation

Forty Licks - The Rolling Stones One of the greatest bands of all time as well as the best concert I ever saw
Recollection - Creedence Clearwater Revisited Great if you like southern rock. Much better than the original. Basically the drummer and bassist from the original band decided to start up a new one. Also saw these guys live this past summer. Sounds better than when John Fogerty was in the band.

Lenny Kravitz- Greatest Hits

lets see…

meatloaf~ bat out of hell
TYR~Ramund Hin Unge
Mettalica~ …and justice for all
Rammstein~ Rammstein
Kiss~ Hotter than Hell
Blue Öyster Cult~ agents of good fortune
and last but not least
Pink Floyd~ piper at the gates of dawn
♫long live music!♪

I was going to post a thread like this after the Metalheads thread got my music mind on track, but why not revive this very similar one I found with the Search function?

None of these are particularly new, I’ve just actually gotten into music since college.
**
Does It Offend You, Yeah? - You Have No Idea What You’re Getting Yourself Into** - *I was looking for “loud electronic rock” and stumbled upon this inspired little album. Kind of Daft Punk like in the sounds it uses, but more… screaming. *
The Postal Service - Give Up - I’m about 7 years behind, but I still like electronic indie pop, and you still can’t beat The Postal Service.
Death Cab For Cutie - Narrow Stairs - …or Ben Gibbard in general. Emotion without emo.

Speaking of the metalheads thread, it’s time to put some decent music in this thread.

I’ve been reliving the glory days of Slayer with Reign in Blood and Seasons in the Abyss, Meshuggah’s obZen has also been working into the rotation, Dancers to a Discordant System is now competing with Bleed for my ‘Best Track’ award.

There’s a few:
Adam Lambert - For Your Entertainment
Green Day - 21st Century Breakdown
Green Day - International Superhits!
Green Day - 1039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours
Green Day - Nimrod
Green Day - Shenanigans
Green Day - Warning
Green Day - Kerplunk!
Green Day - American Idiot
Rise Against - Siren Song of the Counter Culture
Rise Against - The Sufferer & the Witness
Rise Against - Appeal to Reason

There’s many more from the Beatles, Black Sabbath, Avenged Sevenfold, The Who, Pink Floyd, ect…

I just finished uploading a good number of CD’s to my computer, and I’m listening through them.

SuperUnknown-Soundgarden
POD-The Breeders
Frank Black (I forgot the album title)
Signals, Calls and Marches-Mission of Burma
Tragic Kingdom-No Doubt
Stop Making Sense-Talking Heads
This is Spinal Tap-Spinal Tap
Live at Leeds-the Who
Surrealistic Pillow-Jefferson Airplane

RoseJ - Got enough Green Day?

I’ve been listening to a lot more radio than CDs/iPod lately, so I haven’t listened to a lot of complete albums, but the most recent two have been Lovesick Electric, by Hot Chelle Rae, and Bad Vein’s self-titled album. Both were because I was handed the demo CDs in journalism the other day and was asked to write reviews, and I ended up liking both bands a lot.

So far today I’ve listened to Amesoeurs - Amesoeurs and Shining - VI - Klagopsalmer.

I just finished Fair Warning - Van Halen on my ipod

Welcome To Mali by Amadou & Mariam

Winter Song By Halford
Worlds Collide by Apocalyptica

Never~ XD They are amazing in concert.

In addition, I forgot to add My Chemical Romance to my list~ My list is actually endless in my iPod…

the last album I listen to was Glee the music vol. 2

Hot Fuss by the Killers. Their best album so far.

I was just listening to the album “Adelphia” by A Skylit Drive. <33

(Im overdue for some “Self-Titled” or “City of Evil” by Avenged Sevenfold)

Sleep- D**********

A single 63 minute song. Cool stuff.

I’ve tried Sunn O))), and sometimes it’s interesting or good for studying.

How does Sleep compare? or High on Fire? Are they remotely similar?
