Madtown is up fine tuning stuff. Our sophomore programmer just turned one of our motors into a 20,000 position servo I’m so glad he knows what he’s doing I have no clue freaken genius
Ya were running “a little behind” but were going to make it. luckly weve got plenty of the dew to keep us running until we crate this beast up.
Team 549 is still hard at work…
We got rid of our suction cup earlier, and were working on making our arm better…
We also started re-skining our ramps.
I’m tired…and we are starting early tommorow
Ya were running on Amp we are basically testing and retesting we gotta weigh tomorrow so were crossing our fingers for light weight we were 2 lbs over this mourning. Our programmer is working on his Servo motor thingy I have no clue but apparently we’ll be able to click a potentiometer into a position a well be able to be at any of the set heights.
left at 4:30 am yesterday… went back at 3pm… left at 11pm… i’ll go back at 3 again, and my guess be up for a while.
We do nearly all our own machining on team 100.
Seeing that we are total noobs, it often takes us unreasonably long times to machine simple mechanisms. It is not unusual for us to work in the machine shop until midnight.
We have been pulling all-nighters since we finalized our design four weeks ago!
It took us a draw dropping 27 hrs of machining to make a simple worm-drive for the big-CIM. There was one night when we worked on it until 2:00 am!
Fortunately, we bolted on the last mechanical component today and it will now be programing’s turn to toil into the wee-hours of the morning
We’re letting out around 12:00 tonight, starting at 10:00 AM (Mon) till X Tuesday morning (when they come to pic up our 'bot)
(I’m painting the crate and tuning up the mascot suit tommorow! (lucky me)
We left at 2am, back at 9am.
Now thats effort!
Were still here but our whole robot is working freaken sweet!!!
I’ve got to watch the kiddies, skipping classes today for this. My college doesnt count Presidents Day as a real holiday.
we’re working hard on it as i type… programming a beast
got out of the machine shop at 2:30 am yesterday, still awake right now, not fun.
only 6 weeks is too hard on the mentors
just got done for the night… a two hour nap and then driving practice!
We’ve been in the shop since around 10 AM Friday.
I’m up late…but not for robots…more like fine arts final.
Well I see 340 and 424 have been up all night long working.
They’re on 13 Wham News Morning show after doing so.
Nope, our robot ships out at about 3 or 4 PM today, so whatever we have done as of this afternoon is it for us.
I wish we did have until Tuesday to work on it, but we make sure it gets to our shipping handlers early to ensure there’s no last minute problems such as “the robot won’t fit in the crate!!?!?”
Unfortunately for the state of Texas, we have a STANDARDIZED test tomorrow which for the juniors is an exit level test so we get to leave our robot an hour earlier than other school nights…Just our luck…Don’t you love state standardized tests?!?
I’ve been doing 12 hour shifts for the last two days, and will probably be in longer today… (9 AM start, 9 PM end, repeat.)
(This is what happens when the team decides that the majority of electrical and programming work will be left for the last weekend of build…and add on top of that the functional testing going on…:o )
