Hi is 2 or more users can edit the same solidworks part/assembly on the same time?
No, this is not possible presently in the desktop version of Solidworks.
That is not possible in the current versions of SW. My Team uses Soildworks and how we set things up is we put everything on a network drive. This way all of the FIles are saved on the network. This prevents files from leaving the build space or from being inaccessible because they are on a student’s personal machine. More information can be found here (wikihow link)
Thanks for yours answer.
Is yours network dirve can be accessed from home or another place?
If yes do you have a guide for how to do it?
There are several options, but I’d avoid the network drive if you want people to be able to CAD at home, as you will not be on the same network. The best options I know of for FRC are Bild and CacheCAD. Bild has a lot of great features, but is still very much in the development stage, so expect some bugs. My favorite thing about Bild is that it has a check out system to prevent people from accident overwriting each other’s work. CacheCAD is based off of google drive and a pretty simple program so it theoretically quite reliable (my team is trying it out this summer so my personal experience is very limited).
