Hello FTC Teams,
We use the GoBILDA Viper Slides, and we noticed that it was quite easy to overstretch and permanently deform the included spring. We switched to a different spring and had similar issues. To combat this, we have designed a cheaper and more durable spring alternative made from 3D-printed fittings, surgical tubing, and zip ties. The benefits of this system are it can stretch further than the spring can and it will always return to its original length. Here is the link to download the CAD files for the fitting.
