Someone broke into our shed, twice

Hey y’all, I’m from team 5700. On Christmas Eve and also last night people broke into our shop. This year we weren’t able to secure a shop we could access during the weekends. To get around this our team spent December building a shed we would always have access to. After the first break in we upgraded the door with several locks, but then they busted down the wall. We have lost almost eleven thousand dollars worth of stuff, including four laptops, almost twenty drills, impact drivers, batteries, a drill press, a band saw, a cut off saw, a Nintendo switch, and over one thousand dollars worth of hand tools. In order to buy new tools and still be able to compete we need to raise eleven thousand dollars, so we set up a GoFundMe https://www.gofundme.com/f/43z2e-a-cause-i-care-about-needs-help?sharetype=teams&member=3499798&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=customer&utm_campaign=p_na+share-sheet&rcid=1b3b8f981fc9444f894a370efdaab287 here’s a video with more information https://youtu.be/hACwoyRnkdA

Just a quick question here, has anybody looked to see if there happened to be an insurance policy this may have fallen under?

Thanks for the suggestion, we’re looking into it, but we likely aren’t covered.
Luckily, there was an amazing community response to the gofundme and we’ve raised $12,000 dollars, enough to replace everything we lost. We’re still figuring out a shop space for the rest of build season though, we have a few potential options to consider - but we won’t let this stop us!

One word: Robocop.

Seriously I’m glad you could raise enough to get your stuff back. Here’s hoping your next build site is more secure.
