I almost forgot! Still Alive as sung by GladOS.
Pretzel Logic - Steely Dan
It’s programming thing.
Oh, and this one.
Thunderstruck
Knew what that would be before I clicked it. Clicked it anyways
Rock the boat by Bob Sinclair.
That’s the tune that was played at the final match at the Western Canada Regionals which got us to St. Louis.
Of course, if we do our jobs right hopefully the lyrical content won’t ever be relevant
Although it’s been said once before in this thread, Sandstorm was the song that played in one of the finals matches we won at Tech Valley. Prior to that it was probably our team’s 2nd favourite song (behind “O, Canada”) and it was used in our robot reveal video that was never actually released to the public.
I was wondering if anyone could suggest some songs that are normally played at first events. Thank You
Anything except cotton eye joe or cha cha slide.
Thank You so much!
Thunderstruck (by AC/DC) is another song that is almost always played, the Macarena (by Los del Rio) is a good one if there’s a bit of an intermission between matches.
- Make a list of the top 100 pop songs.
- Remove the songs that are explicit/very suggestive.
- Well there’s a good 25 songs you can use.
SANDSTORMMMM
DUDUDUDDUDUDUDUDUDUDUDUDDUDDU
its enjoyable.
“Counting Stars” since our spirit team decided to choreograph a dance in our “free time”
“Firework” because they always play the instrumental during awards
I already mentioned Sandstorm for FRC in general, but Groove Coverage and Crazy Frog take me back to freshman year FRC.
Psychotron - Megadeth
Iron Man-Black Sabbath

More or less every Fall Out Boy song - my favorite is probably Irresistible
Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond. They played it right after we won Chairman’s at the PNW Championship this past April, and my whole team was just singing along super happily. It was one of those moments where you think, ‘this is why I’m in FIRST,’ and I’ll always remember that moment when I hear the song.
