Hello!
My team has recently purchased some new Spark MAX Motor Controllers along with NEOs to use. We have been trying to test them out using the USB-C Interface from the PC Client. One motor controller in particular has not been working properly, though. While I can successfully connect to it from the PC Client, I cannot actually run it because it is giving the status light indicator that refers to Gate Driver Fault. I haven’t been able to find a good description of what this error actually means, and what can be done to fix it. I have heard that this could be indicative of a faulty motor controller, but before I jump to that conclusion, I’d like to know if there are any particular ways that this issue might be solved. We are running the latest firmware (1.4.0), and I have been able to run other Spark MAXes on the same robot without error.
Any information on this error or suggestions on how to troubleshoot and solve the error would be greatly appreciated.
On a side note, is there any way to view all of the SPARK MAXes on the robot CAN network at once, similar to what you can do with CTRE Motor Controllers in the Phoenix Tuner? As far as I’m aware, they can only be viewed one by one through USB-C in the PC Client, but it would be very helpful to be able to view all of them at once.
Thank you!
