When running our bot for some reason the follow command has made the two slave motors follow each other and the two masters follow each other however no where in the code did we set a follow command besides for master to slave
Double check all your CAN IDs, both on the devices and in the code.
For much more that that, you’ll need to post your code or (better) a link to a GitHub or similar repository.

so the solution was in the spark max configuration software the follower ids were set up imporperly there is no known reason why and I hope that this helps any team having this problem to solve it go into advanced tab of rev search for k_FollwerCanID this should lead you to a tab and your master motors should have a value of 0 and slaves should have a many number value if this isnt true simply click it to change it
