We are using SparkMax Motor Controllers for our outtake system, and wanted to know if the motor controller has the capability to keep the motor speed constant no matter the strain put on the motor… Meaning that for the shooting, we want the most consistent results, so we want to keep the wheels and shaft always at the same speed.
Cant seem to find anything that directly mentions this on Rev’s website, we would appreciate if someone could enlighten us!

You’ll probably want to look up PID and closed loop control.
The spark max examples have an example for velocity closed loop control for the drivetrain. You can use something similar for a mechanism.
If you run into trouble and include the language you used and the code for your current attempts at replicating the drivetrain code for your mechanisms, people may be able to give more detailed help.
