Special Autodesk Inventor Video Training offer for teams!

Autodesk Inventor Video Training offer from TEDCF Publishing:

TEDCF Publishing is offering special pricing for FIRST teams on their training videos for Inventor 8, 9, and 10. They’ve set up a private pre-registration link for our teams. They require your team number, the school/educational institution your team is affiliated with, and other basic information. No money is required now as pre-registration will remain open until August 5. Pricing will be set at that point based on the number of teams pre-registered and by August 8 a full registration page will be made available. I’m attaching the Excel pricing spreadsheet from TEDCF so you can see what they’re offering us. If you order multiple seats for your team, discounts are offered as well. If you’ve struggled with Inventor’s learning curve, the lack of mentoring in this area, or had frustrated Inventor students, this might be the inexpensive solution you’re looking for. The on-screen video instruction is very helpful.

From the pre-registration page you’ll also find links to the main website to learn about the product (do not use the public pricing info these, use the attached spreadsheet) and a testimonial from mentor Josh Lynn from team 487. Thanks to Josh and David Melvin of TEDCF for providing all FIRST teams with this great opportunity. Direct all questions to me at kresslr[at]lmsd[dot]org

The more teams that pre-register, the better the price for everyone.

Quick update:
Four teams have already pre-registered (61, 222, 1394, and a 2006 pre-rookie) and are guaranteed a 20% discount at least. Pre-Registration is open until August 5. If you’re unsure of which version you’ll be needing, you can choose one now and change it when it’s time to order in August/Sept. We are working with FIRST to verify the Inventor version that Autodesk will provide for 2006.

FYI:
I know I sound like a salesman (I am receiving no individual benefit), but I would like to see more teams use Inventor and submit for the award and this training is very inexpensive. The more that participate, the more savings each team will realize. Spread the word.

I know these videos are probably very useful but for some teams it still seems very expensive.

I understand that Sanddrag. Many teams count every dollar very closely and can’t invest in such a product, even at $100. I’d love to be telling you that this is free and will be in the kit. However, this is a company, after a positive experience with one team (thanks 487), that was willing to shave the cost of their product and take the time to create a pricing chart, pre-registration timeline, and a private access web registration form just for our teams. That’s something more than we had before and all I’m doing is passing the opportunity along to teams. Some teams have a little money, want their students to learn/use Inventor and simply don’t have mentoring/training to do so. This could be a solution for some, but if it’s not for you, then it’s not for you. hakuna matata.

I’m just following up on team pre-registration which closes August 5.

Six teams have pre-registered with TEDCF thus far. We’d like to get at least five more teams on board so the price reduces for everyone. Please email me with questions.

Thanks to all of the teams that preregistered for the Inventor tutorials. “Regular” registration and ordering is now open to all teams (whether you preregistered or not). Here is your link and final pricing for this year:
