Is there any limitation for how fast/far a power cell can be shot at?
Our initial look through the manual didn’t suggest there was any speed limit for power cells, but it definitely merits further checking to be sure (since none of us can really call ourselves “experts” on the rules at this point).
Besides G7 and G9, no.

The game manual notes that the counting hardware is automated. From looking at field models, I believe it is located after the FUEL CELLS hit the backboards, so that would presumably slow them down sufficiently that they couldn’t really be overloaded. From this, I currently believe that there is neither a rules-enforced nor technical limit to scoring.
Look at the Field Tour videos. It’s down near the Corral, out of the way of the incoming shots.
The last time there was a speed limit was in 2006. G7 and G9 are the only restrictions on shooting in general.

the only speed limit that i saw in this game was that you cant spin the CONTROL PANEL faster than 60 rpm. How disappointing.
