Spinning the wheel

So for phase 2 we have to spin the wheel 3-5 times in full rotations, but does it matter if we spin it clockwise/counterclockwise?

No it doesn’t.

So long as they’re all in the same direction, which direction that is doesn’t appear to matter.

ROTATION CONTROL: Rotate CONTROL PANEL at least three (3) (but no more than five (5)) complete revolutions in the same direction.

Unfortunately, it apparently is field damage if the spinny thing is spun faster than 60 rpm, so you can’t really chuck a CIM on it.

Do you mean rpm

Yeah, IDK how FPS got in there

So you’re telling me 59 RPM is the limit

60 RPM, probably, but you can probably get away with 60 FPS lol

That means it’ll take at least 3 seconds to move to ACTIVATE phase 2 after accumulating 29 power, at least 20 of those in teleop.

[Fixed; @AriMB is right.]

Unless I’m mistaken, you need to rotate the CONTROL PANEL after filling 20 power to move from Stage 2 to Stage 3. Not after 9 power to move from Stage 1 to Stage 2

But it sounds like a perfect job for a window motor or a seat motor!

The way I read, it says 20 power cell & spin not 20 power cell then spin so I figure you can spin it anytime while you’re in stage two (complete stage 1 first)

From the first paragraph in section 2 (emphasis mine):

To activate stages of the Shield Generator, droids manipulate their Control Panels after scoring a specific number of Power Cells.

Added: Figure 3-24 also indicates that you have to reach CAPACITY before spinning the control panel.

From §4.4.2:
Capture

In combination with what @GeeTwo mentioned, I originally read this as “they need to be CHARGED then ACTIVATED”. Though looking back I can see how other people might interpret it differently.

oh I missed what @GeeTwo pointed out. I think after reading that, it has to be after which means that you have to score 29 Power cells before spinning for the first time

I’m pretty sure that’s the answer, but it’s probably worth a Q&A just to be sure when it opens in a few days
