Given that 2 of these 4 had significant QC issues after launch, I am still bewildered that control system components are not shipping in the summer such that teams can provide the free beta testing during the offseason.
“Seasons were ruined” is a pretty over-the-top descriptor, as is “wasted.” It is entirely reasonable for a consumer to be ticked off about last minute delivery of expensive components.
Maybe we should have ordered from WCP instead of CTRE. We ordered and paid for our Krakens in mid November and CTRE told us they should ship at the end of January now. Absolutely ridiculous
The X44 is slowly finishing up from the factory and headed towards CTR. I don’t have a firm ETA on when these will start shipping to customers but know WCP/CTR is doing everything possible to get products into the hands of customers as quick as we can.
I completely understand that any estimate you provide would be tentative and influenced by factors beyond WCP or CTR’s control. That said, would you be able to share a rough timeframe for the X44s/X2S and absolute encoders? Even an approximate indication like “late February” would be incredibly helpful.
This information would assist teams like ours, who are planning on using the X2S modules, in making informed decisions about our build schedule and tackling some tough planning choices.
Let me link up with CTR and get some firmer ETA’s. The X2s/t have cleared production and are in route to us to ship. Once I get the components cleared customs I’ll re post an update on better lead times. My hope for the Swerve X2s/t is before end of January and we are expediting items as fast as we can from our supplier to us.
Any knowledge from you (or folks at CTRE) on the status of FXS controllers? We just got our krakens (Incredibly grateful!), however the TalonFXS controllers we ordered at the same time have yet to even be shipped afaik.
