Sponsor-Team Relationships

I am giving a conference presentation at the 2012 conference at Championships entitled, “BFF – Keeping Your Team’s Sponsors Your ‘Best Friends Forever’”. It is currently slated for Thursday afternoon but the schedule has not yet been confirmed.

We all know that you can’t just hold your hand out year after year and expect sponsors to write you a check. You need to develop that relationship so that they understand why they should give you money, in-kind donations and/or volunteers.

I am looking for suggestions from teams who have successfully engaged their sponsors and kept them involved as an itegral part of the team.
