sprockets

does any one know where to get the following parts. Wheel sprocket,24 tooth/drive train bag#35,1.25 bore,1/4 hub # 10 mntg holes in a 1.875" D circle
Also does any one know where to get a Output sprocket-Drive train bag 1/5" bore,1/8" keyway

Great places such as msc or mcmaster exist to provide such things. http://www.mscdirect.com/ and http://www.mcmaster.com/. You’ll be able to find a multitude of parts such as sprockets and shaft, as well as many other things.

Check out Andymark.biz as they are the source for some of the KOP components. IFI Robotics also sells similar components.

BEN

The similar Aluminum IFI/AndyMark sprockets have the same bolt pattern for the KOP wheels, but the smallest is a 28t I believe.

If you order a 24t sprocket from McMaster, you would have to drill the mounting holes yourself.

My team is looking for simmilar parts.

My question is: How would you order duplicate parts of the ones that come in the kit?

I don’t know officially for the sprockets. Most of the rest come from IFI. I saw a distributor’s list but currently can’t find it.
Grainger had a duplicate output sprocket (make sure you look for a 1/2 in bore, there is a typo on the kit of parts list). McMaster Carr’s didn’t have a keyway. As for the sprocket bolted to the wheel, I’d go with an Andy Mark.

Ok doing a little more research, and with the help of Gurdian’s advice i was able to come up with these

For the input sprocket that comes off of the planetary gearbox:

Sprocket 15 tooth; 35 Chain
MSC

Grainger
http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/wwg/itemDetailsRender.shtml?ItemId=1611578574

And the Sprocket that is bolted to the wheels:
#35 chain, 1.25” bore, 1/4” hub, #10 mntg
holes in a 1.875” D circle
MSC
http://www1.mscdirect.com/CGI/NNSRIT?PMPXNO=1868347&PMT4NO=16269485
This one will need holes drilled in it.

IMO, I think it would just be easier to get the IFI/AndyMark Aluminum sprockets.

  1. It’s lighter
  2. It bolts right up to the KOP/AndyMark and IFI Traction wheels.

The only problem is the smallest is 28t, the ones in the kit are 24t. Since you increased the tooth counting by 4, then do the same for the smaller one, so get a bigger one for the shaft. Or you can just get a custom better geardown for your own situation (more torque, more speed).

They have 24 teeth now too.
