St. Louis WFA winner: Sean Schuff

Congratulations to Mr. Sean Schuff for winning the Woodie Flowers Award the the St. Louis regional!!!

Since his first year with 93, in 2000, Mr. Schuff has been a dedicated father and husband, as well as a robotics mentor. He’s not just a mentor on the team – he’s everyone’s friend as well, always making extra time for someone who needs it. This past season was tough for Schuff, as his son was born an unexpected six and a half weeks early!! The team was incredibly supportive during this tough time, and, because of that, Schuff was able to make time for both his family at home and his FIRST “family”.

Way to go Schuff!!!

This man is big! Not only in size but in heart and dedication to FIRST, Congrats Sean and Team #93!

Awwww, KT you beat me to it.

I think KT summed it up on what a great guy Schuff really is. So all I can do is say thanks, Schuff. We have both been through a lot together and I can’t think of a better way to end out my senior year.

Thanks (once again),

There are people in our lives who are always there for us as our cheerleader, enemy, confident, critic, and friend. They help us see who we really are and what we are (or are not) capable of.

Mr. Schuff has been raising us since we were obnoxious freshman and although we are still probably quite obnoxious it doesn’t change his dedication. He has helped us wade through the tough times and smiled without surprise when we just plain rock. After 4 years I can tell you that there isn’t one graduating senior who he hasn’t touched, helped them understand who they are, who he hasn’t believed in. This is a gift which cannot be repaid, one that comes freely. In the same sense I hope that he can take his award as a small thankyou from each and everyone of us.
Thank you Mr. Schuff, you have honestly changed my life.

Hmmm… What can I say that has not been already said in this thread? Well, as all the members (93 and otherwise) have said: Schuff is a great guy and very much deserved this honor. Team 93 is very fortunate to have such a man of this caliber in the “driver’s seat”. THANK YOU AND CONGRATULATIONS MR. SCHUFF. YOU, ALONG WITH THE PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE AWARD WINNERS, ARE WHAT FIRST STANDS FOR.

I think that everyone here has covered it all about what Schuff means to everyone, but personally Schuff has pushed me to my limits this year and made my Rookie year the greatest experience of my life. I think that even if I tried to put into words all of the things that he has taught me this year I couldn’t. I’m so sad to see all the people leave this year, but I’m so happy that I get to spend two more years learning from Schuff!!! Thanks Schuff for everything you mean the world to us.
