Stage Scoring 5 seconds after the match ends

6.5 Scoring rules

assessment of STAGE points is made 5 seconds after the ARENA timer displays 0:00 following TELEOP, or when all ROBOTS have come to rest following the conclusion of the MATCH, whichever happens first.

This is an interesting one and without checking previous manuals is this different than usual or the same? In previous years if you were above X height at the end of the match you “climbed” then if your robots winch system powered down it was okay. Now it seems you may need a mechanical latch to make sure you stay up at the end of the match.

Am I understanding this correctly?

Also when all robots have come to a rest as in mechanisms or the chain isn’t swinging side to side?

Thoughts?

This may have been a thing longer ago, but in 2022 the same policy applied almost word for word, “assessment of HANGAR points is made 5 seconds after the ARENA timer displays 0, or when all
ROBOTS have come to rest following the conclusion of the MATCH, whichever happens first,”

Depended on the year, but this is pretty typical.

Is the robot moving? Drive, arms or any major mechanism movement is probably what they are looking for, not that flag Tyros are putting on their bot that sways due to the ac.
