Starting a new FRC team

Is it possible to start a new FRC team now? I heard it is past the payment deadline, but I’m curious on if it is possible. We are based in an area with a district and have the funding for a season.

Thanks

@EStokely is the first person you want to talk to, I think. FIRST Senior Mentor for Washington State. Use the username linked with (at) firstinspires (dot) org to email him directly… but I suspect he’ll be along shortly.

Also probably your PDP, (and mine), which is FIRST WA. Shoot them an email to [email protected]. But Eric Stokely will most definitely help you out.

Or more specifically, your FRC PDP, who would be Adrienne Collins. You can reach her at [email protected]!

PS, if you’re in the Spokane Area- feel free to shoot me a dm. I can get you in touch with some other teams out there that can help support you

And for context: you would hardly be the last team signed up for this season. I know one local rookie that was spun up after Kickoff this year.

(The parents had the booster club and kids all lined up, then like the week of Kickoff the teacher decided to flip to VEX. So they just plowed ahead as a community team and did well all things considered.)

Welcome, reach out to Adrienne first, she’ll be looking for an email from you. What part of the state are you in?

Looks like you have done what everyone here has been recommending and emailed your PDP
I’ll look into this on Monday after the holiday.
And I suspect we can all make this work, lots of growth this year for FRC in PNW

Sorry to follow up, but I’m intrigued- any updates? :eyes:

Looks like they are going to join up with another rookie team for this season.
