Team #64 is going to Seattle on the new dates. Are any of the listed teams going to drop Seattle and go somewhere else? The Gila Monsters are looking forward to seeing many of our old friends as well as making many new ones.

The Sea Dawgs (258) are going to drop Seattle and attend the Silicon Valley Regional instead. I’m sorry we’re not going to see you guys in Seattle.
Gunn Robotics is going to drop Seattle in favor of San Jose, and possibly attend another regional instead.
Sorry guys, home crowd comes first.
I counted 7 teams from within an hour or two of San Jose that are registered for both. The only two that have people that post here, have already posted saying that they are dropping the seattle regional. I would assume that it the other 5 will be dropping it as well.
There are also 2 teams from Southern California that are registered for both. Its hard to say which one they would decide to keep, because plane prices to Seattle and San Jose are similar. but it is possible to drive to San Jose and probably not to Seattle (unless they like 18 hour trips).
One thing I noted is that the Seattle Regional started with 20 spots available, but it dropped to 19 a few weeks ago, and 18 this week. Do you think FIRST is really cutting yet more on this regional, or maybe teams dropped out but somehow the teams on the waiting list didn’t get their seats, or weren’t allowed to? Anyone has something to say about that?
I think U-Dub is going to be a fine facility. I would suspect that there are more spots available than 18, but my guess is FIRST is trying to get information from the teams already signed up as to what they are going to do before they open the regional up to others to sign up.
