Here are some instructions for downloading

  1. Make sure to download the ENTIRE folder, and leave everything in that folder.
  2. Remember to unzip the folder
  3. Don’t mess with the txt file, it might mess up the game
  4. Have fun, and let us know if there are any difficulties, and we will get back to you as soon as possible

Whenever I boot up the game it shows the 2410 logo, then goes to white, and I can’t get it to work.

Thanks for posting this fun update! I will have to look deep into the different ways to play and robots I can play with. That being said, I really hope you got the permission from each team you modeled robots after to use their number and robot concept…

Apparently all of the image files have been deleted, how do I fix this?

They should be included in the download. try redownloading. if that doesn’t work, run “java -jar SteamPowered.jar” in the command prompt in the directory that the jar is in and send me the console output.

When facing away from the boiler, 1986 shoots from the front of the robot.

The initial position of fuel shot from the robot is constant on all robots. the game was laggy enough, we didn’t want to add any unnecessary calculations for things like that.

Did you unzip the file before running it?

Yeah, I’ve tryed using 7zip and 8zip lite

Unless 7zip –> Open archive isn’t the right thing

Just extract the zip file to a folder somewhere else. don’t unzip the jar. you shouldn’t need any archive editor other than the default file explorer.

Okay, it’s a good thing I have school off this week, because otherwise I wouldn’t get anything done, this game is insanely fun. (Can anyone beat my high score of 942?)

First off,
TSIMFD. So freaking fun.

One piece of feedback: when entering tournament mode, and playing a match, pressing Escape and clicking “Back” brings you into another match rather than back to the tournament menu.

That would only be if the score is a tie, hence, the people need to play again to see who wins.

Gotcha. Maybe adding another button to quit the tournament without quitting the program itself would be useful.

Any news on adjusting resolutions?
