Step-by-step guide to set up a LaunchPad?

We have been looking around this site and the internet in general for a step-by-step guide for setting up a LauchPad MSP430 F5529 as a custom gamepad. One link that is often referred to for directions and examples leads to a generic page on TI’s website… obviously it’s no longer available. All we really need is about 10 buttons.

We don’t have anyone who has experience with hooking up a microprocessor this way and would love to have a “dumbed” down version of what we need to do.

We have received a few LaunchPads with First Choice and they sit and collect dust!

Please help.

Have you looked at the Gamepad Tool that gets installed as part of the FRC Update every year?
It offers three options for setting up buttons and the like.

I’m not sure why this was archived, and I’ll look to see where the current location is. For now, here is the WebArchive link to to the old page.
