Alright, I’m always on the prowl for ways to make my day (night, really) job more interesting. And I’ve been trying to think of a way to do my broadcasting from places other than the studio (with someone inside making sure the station is still functioning).
So my best idea is feeding the audio into my laptop, then transmitting it to a computer in the studio, which then feeds it into the board.
However, I’d like to be able to do all this through a telephone line, as high-speed internet gets really sketchy once I go beyond the USC campus. (Sometimes it’s sketchy even when I’m on the USC campus.) So I think the sound would go something like:
My mouth -> Sound board (optional) -> Laptop -> Phone Line -> Computer at the station -> Station sound board -> A few other things even I don’t know about -> 90.5 MHz -> Their radio -> The ears of the greater Columbia area. (Change it slightly for the webcast.)
Does anyone here know of a program or method of doing this?
It would be much appreciated.
