Subject: School Groups Can Attend RoboNexus for Free

Robotics Trends and IDG World Expo have announced the RoboNexus Educational
Outreach Program. RoboNexus is an educational and consumer robotics
conference and exposition focused on intelligent, mobile robotics.

Santa Clara Convention Center
Santa Clara, CA
October 21-23, 2004

FIRST, an Association Co-Sponsor of RoboNexus, will hold exhibitions at the
event and FIRST founder, Dean Kamen, will deliver a keynote address.

Under the RoboNexus Educational Outreach Program, school-age children
(K-12) and their teachers, as part of a registered school group, can visit
the RoboNexus exposition free of charge on Friday, October 22, 2004 to view
the 50,000 square feet of stimulating robotics exhibitions, along with many
exciting live demonstrations and robot competitions. At RoboNexus, students
will be able to view and interact with hundreds of robots, including many
never before seen in the United States, and meet dozens of robotics experts
(including school-age participants in the many RoboNexus competitions).

RoboNexus is the largest robotics exposition ever held in North America,
and boasts of over forty participating sponsors including FIRST, LEGO
Education, RoboEducators, the Tech Museum of Innovation, Popular Science,
Popular Mechanics, iRobot and many, many others.

If your school group is interested in participating in the RoboNexus
Educational Outreach Program, or if you have additional questions, please
contact Nora Risti at 508-424-4843 or [email protected].

(Oh… how I wish I could be in Santa Clara)

C’mon Rich, we live on the East Coast where FIRST HQ is. How sweet is that?

Although it would be cool to go to the Robonexus exhibition.
Maybe next year it will be held on the East coast.
