Swerve-wheel center shaft

When I was looking at swerve CAD file and swerve assembly video I saw a interesting shaft too me. The shaft’s one face diameter was different to the other face. And that means bearings were different too. I couldn’t understand that why are diameters are different. I may not have explained properly but do you have any idea about that?

It’s probably because it was easier to fit a larger bearing on one side, and the additional load rating was desired. That one looks like it’s using a COTS bevel gear which can fit the large bearing.

I believe it is because of the bevel gear on one side of the wheel.
