Swordfighting, Robots & Drones–(Fencing demo and Q&A about attending college at Rolla)—sponsored by Y Bridge 4H Robotics Team 5476

When: this Saturday at 3 pm.

Where: Galena Stone County Public Library, Galena, Missouri

Who:

Zach Kreur, aeronautical/structural engineer who earned is bachelors degree at Missouri S & T, is completing his master’s degree there and works as an engineer at Steelville Manufacturing, Missouri.

Ashley (Painter) Kreur, computer science major at Missouri S & T who has an undergraduate research job on “smart” buildings, former FIRST FRC *Team 3784 *Captain, 2X Intel ISEF Regional Finalist with her robotics projects.

Both are on the college fencing team and will be giving a fencing demonstration as well as answering questions about studying science/engineering at Missouri S & T.

Shameless plug: MST is a great, challenging school with great opportunities. I highly recommend it to everyone looking to pursue engineering of really any discipline.

Did anyone else think this would be about tethered quadrotors swordfighting with pool noodles when they read the title?

Yes, that is what I read into the title also.

Re: Rolla – I second Faust’s plug. This is one of the great schools the will turn you into a first-class engineer the old fashioned way, by hard work and intense focus.

I recommend Georgia Tech and Purdue, for the same reason.
