Sycavision Image processing library

Hello teams!
We are team Sycamore #8208 We developed a vision software Sycavision that simplifies and improves the accuracy of the vision processing in FRC games.
You can install the software just by typing “pip install sycavision” in command line.
More information : https://sycavision.gitbook.io/sycavision/ (we are working on it)

Have a great season!

It’s great to see more and more pre-made vision software, but how does it match up to other free solutions, like Chameleon Vision or OpenSight? Most importantly:

  • What hardware does it support? (RPi, Jetson Nano, etc)
  • Is it open source?
  • Does it have support for a GUI or is that planned in the future?

I’m interested in using and trying out more vision software, but first, why do you think we should use it more than any other option?

In addition to these points connellsensational mentioned, the color options seem pretty limited, also in your color processing video the pointer jumps alot between the middle of the arduino (which i assume is your target) and a part near the USB port.
So more filtering is definitely required.

Its seems like a nice project but I doubt it can be used in a FRC season. Try to focus it on targets that are common in FRC like pairs of retro reflectors.
This vision software is in very early stages and the season is starting soon so I don’t know if you can change/improve alot of stuff before the season
You can take a look on Limelight and other opensource projects like Chameleon vision or OpenSight
I would recommend you to work on it after the 2020 season because the build season is starting in a month.

Supports Raspberry pi and Jetson
Yes is it open source. https://github.com/enisgetmez/Sycavision
Currently does not support a gui.

our software is currently alpha version.
The difference from other software is that it contains ready-made color codes and has the ability to process circles and lines besides color. Allows you to prepare your image processing software in 30 seconds.

you’re right. we’re just trying to get experience.
