Sysid help: configuring project parameters

I’m working on Sysids, and I’m confused about configuring the project parameters. From the Get-go, I don’t understand how to use the Analysis type field to select the proper project config, and I don’t see any of the selections (IE: motor controller selection, encoder selection, etc…) I feel like I missed something from being plain stupid. Any help?

My team is as well struggling with the initial steps of the SysID.

Documentation is very confusing. At least at the beginning.

SysId changed substantially this year (project generation was removed), and the new docs haven’t been completed/merged yet. Draft of the new docs is here: Update SysId docs for 2024 by DeltaDizzy · Pull Request #2492 · wpilibsuite/frc-docs · GitHub

The basic concept is you now instantiate SysIdRoutine in your normal robot program and run it as a command. This captures the data into a log file that then you load into SysId.
