In the documentation for SysID it mentions having at least 10 feet and ideally 20 feet to run the test, but every time we run it it travels closer to 40 feet. I don’t currently have access to the code to post but we are basically just running the sysID example modified for our controllers and encoders. We thought it might be something with the encoder count, but no matter whether we scale it up or down it still travels the same distance every time. We also tried changing the units but that didn’t have any impact either. We thought the basic process sounded pretty straightforward but haven’t had anything but problems since we started. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
You can/should stop the SysId test routines before they time out.
The dynamic test, in particular, does not benefit at all from running more than a few seconds.
Thank you
