Taking back to old school!

This is what you have to do when you have no more dewalt battery power!
old school

  1. It would seem to me, that without electricity, you wouldn’t have those lights. :D.

  2. Reminds myself to add that to a list of things that only freshmen should do. ALong with tapping. MUAHAHAHA.

Post links to unavailable youtube videos that suggest a Travis Baker interview?

Oh there it is… You couldn’t somehow tap the power drills to the lights since they’re on the backup generaator?

WoW, just wow.

Oh no not manual labor I’m scared!

I’ve always wanted one of those. Mechanical tools are wonderful failsafes for when our beloved electricity hops off and has a vacation.

We do a similar thing with our newbies. When they rivet, for the first time, we give them the hand riveter. After they learn humility, we give them the pneumatic one

We have only ever had a hand riveter…I guess I am old school:ahh:

We don’t even have a riveter! I guess that makes us no school:yikes:

Ahhh… The good old days!! Wanna feel really old try to find a record player needle… for those of us that know what a turn table is…

yes tapping and deburing that’ll show 'em :stuck_out_tongue:

Dont forget grinding off the chain and tapping them to put on masterlinks
Mwa ha ha ha

i had to put some 1/4 rivets on my sailboat a while back, now THIS was hard:p

LOL.
Diamond Stylus
Ah the good old days

I have a couple cartons of typewriter ribbons…and 5-1/4" floppy disks…you never know when you’ll need this type of stuff!

8-tracks anyone?

I think I have a blank 8 track tape around here somewhere too. And a new underdash player, just waiting to go in an old car.

Only on team THRUST where they use 2brazilloion rivets would that be old school

I actually have a hand drill somewhere. It’s so ancient that it doesn’t have a guard over the gears, so I constantly pinch myself when I use it.
Good times…

This reminds me of a time when we asked somebody to cut us a piece of lexan to size. The coach didn’t realize that he’d left the safety key to the bandsaw tucked away in a cabinet, so we found the kid turning the wheel of the bandsaw by hand!
