Talon Tach programming

My team this year has decided to use a tachometer instead of an encoder and I looked up the documentation and examples, but I did not find much. Does anybody know any resources that helped them with the Talon Tach, or mind just sharing how to program it?

Talon Tach typically plugs into Talon SRX via ribbon cable.

I already have my shooter subsystem that already has the talon srx created, but it conflicts with the example talon being in the robot.java.

Should I add it to the shooter instead?
