TalonSRX and Encoders

Hi Folks -

We have an encoder hooked up into a TalonSRX, and would like to be able to reset and get encoder readings, without running in closed-loop.
I’ve poured through the CrosstheRoad Docs, and the WPI_TalonSRX libs and searched for sample code, but can’t seem to find how to

  1. Configure the motor to recognize the encoder.
  2. Get readings from the encoder

Any help or code snippets is appreciated.
