We know it is very close to the beginning of build season, however we, Team 11, are in need of mentors. We need mechanical, electrical, and programming FRC experienced mentors, and would appreciate the help. We program in Java and desire mentors who are specifically experienced with WPILib. We are located in Mount Olive High School in Flanders New Jersey. Please if you are in the area and would like to help, please contact me at [email protected].
Thank you for your time and we appreciate your attention
Good luck! I know first hand that such a large team definitely requires a lot of people to make things run smoothly.
Even though I am not in the area anymore, please feel free to reach out to myself and other team alumni (Brandon Holley, Eric Drost, Sam Mills, Owen Keegan) via Chief Delphi.
As another testament, 11 is an awesome team with great people and seem to always be bursting with students (and alumni) who are incredibly passionate (see Akash). It’s no surprise that they need mentors given how much they have grown over the years.
If I weren’t spread so thin already I’d offer to stop by a few times during the build season, but please feel free to reach out to me if you guys need any assistance. Unfortunately I’m not much of a programmer, which sounds like what you really need, but I know we have a few capable students on the team that may be able to help out.
Yes that’s exactly our problem. Our team is very large and we do not have enough mentors to manage the large sum of students we have. Because of this not enough students receive enough guidance that they need. We’re actually looking for every type of mentor though, so any help is appreciated. We will try and reach out to you Cyberphil and thank you for the offer.
