Team 1114 2017 Code Release (Java)

Hey everyone! Below is a link to a repository containing the code for Team 1114’s 2017 robot, Simbot Ali. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Thank you to Team 254 for their motion profile code and presentation from 2015 https://youtu.be/8319J1BEHwM

Thanks for sharing your code with all of us!

Out of curiosity, what sort of USB camera did you guys use?

We used the Microsoft Lifecam HD3000 for both 2016 and 2017.

Does 1114 have plans to release code from previous years?

No way

Best Regards,
RM

P.S. Google works too.

You write beautiful code.

I was actually referring to pre-2015 code; sorry for being ambiguous. I was in a time capsule from 2015 to 2016. I often forget that those years were a thing.

Hi Brennonbrimhall,

Sorry about that! My nephew is in town and I caught him snickering, think he must have been the one that posted to you there because I don’t know how to make those clickable words like that!

If I had to guess I’d probably go on Team 1114’s website. I tried to check thebluealliance.com for you but couldn’t find anything about their code there! I’m off to go have a talk with a young man

Best Regards,
RM

What even?!

k…

Hi Nessie,

I was trying to explain to Brennonbrimhall that the first post in this thread from my account was not written by me! When I read it, it came across as rude and was rather upset about its tone. Hope that clears up any confusion!

Hi Brennonbrimhall,

You’ll be pleased to know that he is very apologetic for his post, although…maybe he’s a bit more sarcastic about it than I would like.

On another note, when did we start naming programming languages after types of drinks!? Last I knew we were naming them after the alphabet.

Best Regards,
RM
