Hello, I wanted to upload our 2022 rapid react limelight profile to people who want it
https://github.com/f873/Team-1188s-Limelight-Profile
How consistent has this been for you? Our pipeline is significantly different and we’ve run it without issues in two regional arenas (cool stage lighting at CIR, warm stage lighting at STL) and our practice facility (flourescent). At both regionals we aimed the camera around during field calibration and never saw interference. Our LimeLight 2+ pipeline is below as another reference.

Overall this limelight profile has worked great, and we have amazing accuracy, However the FIM district events are played in high schools with bright lights. So it wouldn’t be an issue at all if played under cool lights, because I won’t have the risk of tracking the lights at all, because if works great under very tough lighting conditions.
Tip for those of you using Limelight in arenas with overhead lights like these:
Max out your red balance. This shifts the entire image towards red, but the retro-reflective tape stays quite green. It drastically helps filter out white lights. You may need to adjust your HSV filtering a bit after you make this change.
We’re looking to configure our limelight pipeline tomorrow. Is it as simple as copying this? Copying with minor adjustments? or completely starting from scratch?
You would have to download the .vpr file from GitHub and just upload it to the limelight
Also you can see how it works long range, but we use this for like midrange. I’m not fully sure what it would be long range but you can look.
we’re looking to use if from just outside the tarmac and closer. Is that similar to your range?
Yes, it works best mid range/ outside tarmac
Perfect! I’ll update you on how it goes. Thanks for providing this resource!
Thanks!
How far away from the field has this been working for you guys?
Like midrange, outside the tarmac. Maybe a bit further but y’all can check during calibration
Thanks, but I was replying to 1756’s profile. We are trying to extend our pipeline to work well beyond the tarmac, and I’m looking for ideas on how we can do that, particularly in bad lighting.
We’ve gotten tracks good enough to shoot from 35 feet away. Of course the alliance station wall is 25 feet away from the hub edge, so we’ll never do much over 30 even in the field corners.
