TEAM 121 and a rookie team on CBS SAT MORNING!

I just got word that CBS and FIRST have picked us -team 121- and a rookie team going to NY to be on the Saturday Early Show. Three students from my team (including myself) will be on the show with our robot. The same goes for the rookie team I believe. The show is at 7am et and we will probably be on early because they have to get us back to Columbia by 9am for competition. EVERYONE WATCH it will be great publicity for FIRST.

I have not heard anything about the rookie team coming with us- if anyone knows what team it is please tell us.

Good luck…

oh! i’m a rookie team! be me! be me! be me! seriously though, if my tea mwas chosen for that, i would get to be on tv! (seeing as i programmed the robot and made it move :p). we would also get LOTs of publicity i think. oh well, at least FIRST is getting noticed.

and yes, we are going to NYC regional. :stuck_out_tongue: i have t obe at my school before 6 AM tomorrow. it’s only a 45 minute trip, but i guess rush hour is bad. oh well, team 810 might be a bit tired.

6AM is nothing. You haven’t been up early until you get up at 3AM to be at school at 3:30 to go to Nationals. THAT was early. Anyways, congrats on being selected, 121. I’ll try to watch the show if I have time. Have fun!

well, we haven’t gone to nationals yet. i’ll be doing that though, just wait another month.

Yeah. It’s great experience, even if you have to leave at an ungodly hour to get there. I would tell you my whole story, but I think that’s a bit off-topic. (I think we’re going off on a tangent as it is)

Thats why you sleep on the bus/plane/camel. Our team usually leaves at 1 or 2 for a 13 hour bus ride.

Good luck on TV!!!

thats all i got to say
