Wish we could share a proper reveal video with you, but we went through a major redesign only eight days ago, switching from Brecoflex tank treads to pneumatic wheels with independent suspension front and rear. We are very glad that we made the change, but we are very tired and are behind on other important areas. Nevertheless, we look forward to competing in Arizona West and Colorado. Good luck to you all!
I’m liking the suspension. Why did your team have to do such a major design change?
We felt that, having built the treaded drive base, we were going to have to settle for mediocre performance in competition, even if we tweaked it and massaged it to perform at its best. We had never done tread before, and there were a lot of pitfalls we didn’t anticipate. We really wanted to have a high performing design that could take on categories A, B and D, and not need major maintenance after every round.
Also we managed to do everything to a brecoflez pulley that we shouldnt have.
