Thanks to all our sponsors, students, mentors, parents, and alliance partners. This season would not have been successful without all of you!

Team 1619 is very proud of what we have accomplished this season, and we are looking forward to what our next season holds!

What software did you use to make these videos (specifically the fancy text at the beginning of the Houston one)?

I imagine an experienced videographer would recognize how you made them. I however am not an experienced videographer, so forgive me asking.

Production quality is amazing

You guys make such awesome videos!

Not sure if I’m more impressed by the amazing robot or the amazing camera work and editing.

Hey that’s me at 21 seconds!

Congrats on a great season to one of our closest friends in FRC. Good luck at IRI.

Holy Cow! That videography is amazing!

This video was edited in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, the motion tracked text was done in After Effects.

Fantastic videos for a fantastic season.

Thanks so much everyone for the kind words!

Made sure to fit you in there

Just wanted to say that it was absolutely amazing to work with your team this year at Champs.

Loved the media production from you guys, too! You’re a fine example of what Team 3309 wants to become, and I would like to thank you guys for being so friendly and courteous, too.

Fantastic videos and a fantastic robot in what was a great season. From my interactions with you guys I can tell the passion and drive the students have, and you are definitely a great example of how to run a successful FRC team. Good luck next year, I hope to see you guys again. You have become one of my favorite teams in FIRST.

Excellent video guys! (We’re in the Colorado one yay!) You’re an excellent and inspiring team.

Thank you all for the kind words about the team, the robot, and the videos.

Team 1619 had its best season yet, reaching a level of success that would not have been possible without our mentors, parents, sponsors, and alliance partners. We are incredibly grateful for all of the support you give us.

We were proud to have been Utah Regional Finalists along with our Colorado friends 662 and 1339. Despite being in the same state, we had never had the chance to play with either team before. Thank you both for being wonderful alliance partners, and a special shoutout to 662 for selecting as the first overall pick.

At the Colorado Regional, we were proud to have captained an alliance to victory for the third consecutive year, a new record for the Colorado Regional. Thank you to 1011 and 3648 for helping us achieve this amazing feat. 1011, I’m glad you all went on to win Houston.

On the Hopper Field, 1619 seeded first in a divisional setting for the first time in its history, and only two years after being invited to the Championship for the first time. Although our alliance didn’t go as far as we had hoped in eliminations, we still were honored to play with such incredible teams. Thank you to 3309, 1319, and 4944 for accepting our alliance offer and building incredible machines.

Notably, this marks the fourth year in a row that 1619 has been invited to the Indiana Robotics Invitational. We look forward to competing alongside the best from this year once more.

This was my final year on the team as a student, and I have greatly enjoyed my time on Up-A-Creek Robotics. Fellow team members, know that I am more than happy to serve as a remote strategy mentor next year if you all want me to be so. Thank you all for an incredible three years, and I hope to see you all reach the Einstein Field next year.

My only complaint with these videos is I am in none of them, I am hurt.

I think I speak for all (most?) Colorado teams when I say that we’d rather lose to you guys than get our trash kicked by out-of-towners. [Insert joke here about how the Colorado Regional has been won by more non-Colorado teams than Colorado teams] But hey… if this year is any indication maybe that dynamic is going to change… for good.

Hopefully so. This year was the first time since 2012 that the two finalist alliances were captained by Colorado teams. Here’s to hoping that Colorado teams continue to improve and do even better next year!

Matt,

I’ll make it my personal objective to ensure this never happens again! Apologies.

Mike

I predict that next year, Colorado:

  1. Will have just as many out of town visitors,
  2. but, the top 8 teams will include four or more from in state, and,
  3. the winning alliance will be captained by a Colorado team,
  4. and have at least one other colorado team in the alliance.

Thank you 1619 for piloting our state to hunger for excellence.

6 of the top 8 teams this year at the end of qualifications were Colorado teams. I want to see that number go up next year!
