Hi CD,
Over the last months I have upgraded the SDS mk4 swerve module into 3 motors module with easy and less maintenance.
We had 2 iterations/versions:
V1 - adding a motor.
V2 - making a larger wheelbase with easy maintenance.
Highlights of the 3 motors module include:
double mechanical power
better pressure distribution
larger wheelbase
taking out motors spacers without cutting any shaft
less maintenance
easy maintenance
V1 -
V2 -
These days were working on fully aluminum modules (yeah the parts in the photos are printed ) - We will update you!
So stay updated

Did you have to change the drive gear ratio at all to fit the extra motor? Also, what speed are you running?

We didn’t need to, the double gear is driven by 2 gears (each on a different motor).
We haven’t calculated the speed yet, but we are using the L4 conversion ratio.
Sorry for the delayed response
Regardless of whether they release it or not, note that it will be illegal for next year (2024) as only 4 motors are allowed for propulsion on the field.
