Week 1 at Berrien Springs was a great event.
We look forward to sharing some changes in the next few days leading up to Kentwood this weekend.

UPDATES FOR KENTWOOD

Changes:

  • Added LED feedback
  • Swapped to LL3G vision system
  • Generated shuttling shot mode
  • Improved intake reliability and robustness
  • Implemented note detection for auto pick-up
  • Redesigned our entire climb system

Oh, and now we trap.

Masquerade is excited to compete at FiM Kentwood this weekend. Good luck to all teams!

KENTWOOD RECAP // MSC PREVIEW

Well Kentwood was an amazing time with plenty of amazing friends, robots, and field crew to keep things exciting and competitive. Thank you to all our volunteers!

*Masquerade completed quals ranked 1st going 10-2-0
*1st Alliance Capt with our friends 2054 and 8285
*Shout out to 7911 for stepping in for us after our Rio died
*Won our first Excellence in Engineering award!
*Won the Kentwood District Event

Looking forward to MSC this weekend with a few new tweaks.
*Optimized localization during autonomous
*New center autos
*NEW RoboRio (not a fried one)
*Tuned our automatic note pickup

MSC RECAP

Well MSC was a lot of fun for our team, and congrats to our friends at Hemlock for taking it all!

*Finished 4th overall 9-3-0
*Successfully trapped 9/12 during quals, 4/4 in elims
*Picked up onto the 2nd Alliance with our friends on 3357 and 107
*Eliminated in M12 of the lower bracket (that defense was INSANE @7660)
*Won Excellence in Engineering for the second time this season, and our team history!

Overall, it was an amazing event getting to see some familiar and new faces along the way. We’ve been packing up and running practice matches, and look forward to seeing everyone down in Houston next week!

Look for the folks with the cool floor at Houston to say hi!
