Team 2168--3 minute progress video

The Aluminum Falcons from Groton CT are pleased to announce
“We have arrived.”

For the past 4 years we have been an “also ran” robotics club, pleased enough to simply be there at a single regional event and not come in last. (Last year, we DID have a sweet hanger, I must say!)

This year’s Falcon is turbo-charged.

Here is a link to the progress of our first 3 weeks.

please do enjoy, and look for us at WPI and Hartford.

Looks like you guys are doing a great job!!
Best of luck in the Regionals!!

We hope to see you in St. Louis!!

Great job with design this year!

Nice video!

Is the minibot deployer going on the back end of your robot? The CAD picture didn’t show anything, but there seems to be a large space.

I hope you guys have some fun at WPI and Hartford.

Thanks Bob,

How’s weather in the Northwest? Here in the Northeast there is a huge concentration of FRC team feeling “left out in the cold.” The nation’s mid-section got clobbered, but no one is talking about the Northwest.

Brian

Told you, it’s a secret. They won’t even tell me! I know the minibot will be “sideways” when it’s deployed, but I don’t think the placement on the hostbot is finalized. We just missed two days in a row that were supposed to focus on the minibot.

Weather in the Northwest in the winter?

Rain usually … not cloudy today…
but close to 50 degrees…

thanks for asking
Hope you guys stay out of the snow… or at least stay inside…

good luck!

What method did you use to lift an object with the claw?

Very impressive. I always love a sheet-metal drivetrain!
Keep up the good work, and never stop improving.

Good Luck,
John

If the top peg is over 12 feet, we are in deep trouble.

Thanks for the kind words. We are really looking forward to regionals this year. First stop: Suffield Shakedown.

Yeah…that’s was a little “whoopsie” during my narration. I meant to say “10 feet” and then forgot to go back and redub that bit. Still, it makes it sound so much more exciting, don’t you think?

That looks pretty fast, very solid drive train! Good Work Guys + Girls

Thanks KBrown were staying hard at work down here in CT … looking forward to seeing you guys in Long Island.

With pneumatics, if that’s what you’re asking. I can’t give you the details or my mentors will walk out on me!
