Hi everyone! On Saturday, November 21st, FRC Team 2485 (The W.A.R. Lords) will be hosting a virtual hackathon for high school students!
This is our 6th annual hackathon, and first virtual one! It will involve teams competing to create a coding project that fits the theme “Pass it On”. Teams will be in charge of creating a programming project that “receives” something from one team and “passes on” something to another team. No coding experience is required, and we will have a number of workshops to teach beginners the basics. For the first time ever, projects will compete in two separate divisions, novice and advanced, so we strongly encourage coders from all experience levels to attend. It is sure to be tons of fun, and prizes will be sent to the winning teams in each division.
The event is open to any and all high school students in teams of 2-5, so we look forward to seeing you there! It’ll run from 8 AM to 8 PM PST (although you can start, finish, or take breaks whenever you want within that time). You can sign up using this form.
