Slipstream wanted another 15 minutes of fame and took a few lessons from MJ.

The sad thing is, I say the title and wasn’t that surprised.
Nice job! I do have a question for you. How far does the arm extend beyond the edge of the frame?
Good work. While everyone went for shooters, you thought outside of the box.
It maaaay however break this rule:
[R01-1]
Robot must be built by the FRC team to perform specific tasks when competing in Rebound Rumble.
The Robot implementation must obviously follow a design approach intended to play the 2012 FRC game (e.g. a box of unassembled parts placed on the Court, or a Robot designed to play a different game would not satisfy this definition).
We’re screwed. Again. Thanks for uploading this! Great idea!
Nice layup Did I spy Devastator in the background there…?
What height is the hoop you scored in at? Is it equivalent to any of the heights of the actual competition hoops?
Ironically a design like this would be perfectly legal for the middle level hoop and I would not be at all surprised to see it.
It’s the top hoop height.
Than your move is illegal my friend.
[G20]
Robots in contact with the carpet on their Alliance Station end of the Court are limited to 60 in tall. Otherwise, Robots are limited to 84 in tall.
Violation: Foul; or Technical-Foul for repeated or continuous violation.
2.2.4 The Hoops - When measured from the carpet to the top edge of a rim, the bottom, middle, and top Hoops are 28 in., 61 in., and** 98 in. high** off the floor, respectively.
It is? Are you sure? Why would the defending World Champs not read the rules?
Hey, rules are rules. Can’t dunk on the top hoop
Not for long.
Yep, Joseph is right. I think that the design committee wanted teams to actually compete and score with the spirit of Basketball in mind.
Shooting for the top would provide a better challenge than to just “dunk it in” (which is illegal and impossible to do with the fender and the 14 in extension limit, for the goals were designed not to be contacted by robots in any way NORMALLY).
Less interested in the video more interested in the fact that the poofs apparently made a major off season acquisition bringing in Pat Fairbank.
I am not a poof but I’m pretty sure this was a giant troll so there is really no need to read into the rules on a post like this. It was just in fun.
Haha…
I knew about that last year when I talked to Pat at GTR.
Free agency was good to us this year
Awesome. I was quite surprised that Slipstream would be able to handle basketballs, but that’s really impressive.
Can’t wait to see what you actually build!
